President Houle called the meeting to order.
Secretarys Report A motion to approve the Secretarys Report as written unanimously passed.
Treasurers Report The Treasurers report was not given.
Antennae Tower at 54th & Penn Christopher Coughlin of Independent Brokers Realty, and who is a representative for Sprint, updated the Board about plans for a 10 foot tower extension at the 54th and Penn existing tower location. The tower will expand community cellular phone coverage. Sprint plans to use one of the three antennas and T-Mobile will use the remaining two. Mr. Coughlin distributed handouts depicting how the tower will appear following the 10 foot extension.
13th Ward Update Council Aide Ben Hecker updated the Board on 13th Ward activities. A proposed restaurant tenant for the old Connors Bakery space at 54th & Penn has withdrawn their plans citing complications in obtaining a liquor license as the reason. The final Armatage community sewer lining renovations are underway between Upton Avenue and Thomas Avenue on West 61st Street. National Night Out will take place on Tuesday, August 1, 2006. Community concerns were raised regarding plans for traffic management once the Crosstown Commons construction project commences.
ANA Summer Festival Armatage resident Katie Murphy has volunteered to be the new summer festival planner. The festival will be held Tuesday, July 18th from 6:00 8:00 p.m. at the park. Cub foods will donate food and beverages for the event. A motion was made to keep the summer festival as a community fund raiser. The motion carried unanimously. Past summer festival planner Janelle Luken will be responsible for the silent auction. Janelle was thanked for her many years of service as the festival planner.
Board Selections ANA members voted on new one year term board positions. New positions include: President Noah Schuchman, Vice-President Peggy Rasmussen, Secretary Daniel Beskar and Treasurer Denis Houle. The positions were effective immediately.
A motion to adjourn the meeting unanimously passed.
