Treasurer Report – balances
- Jerry Peterson - Park Update – if incidences are
witnessed please call the police. More incidences are being reported and
it seems to be from 2 of the same kids.
Park bldg closes @ 8:00pm during summer. Because of budget cuts the kids work
program was not implemented. Some
graffiti. Please report incidences
right away to 911. School is
starting and we are hoping things will “cool down” soon.
- US Bank Signature Authorization –
- Festival Recap and 2008 Festival Ideas – See
attached. Games for the “tweens”. Too
many games for the kids. Post items
for the silent auction on line before hand.
- Donation envelope in November newsletter – It is
proposed and Kinney Neighborhood does it.
$253.00 for the printing and insertion. Motion was made to approve funds and
passed.
- Phase II Matching Business Grant Update – Café
Maude and Artistic Floors have been given out $ for their awnings.
- Slow Down Yard Sign Update – 135 signs are out
from the sign-in sheets.
- School fundraiser – Dawn Lemke –
Walk-a-thon. October 26th
& 27th. Asking for
$500.00 for promotional materials, spaghetti dinner, goals and prizes for
kids for reaching goals. A motion
for the $500 was made not seconded and then withdrawn. A motion for $1000.00 and was
defeated. Another motion was made
for $500.00 and was seconded and passed.
Anne Hacker, Peggy Rasmussen and Chris Blumenfeld
informed all those present that they are members of the PTA.
- NRP elector- application was here and the time is
now to make a difference.
- 2007 Policing Plan – Massage Parlor & “Drug
House”, concerns about gas stations selling beer. Traffic calming suggestions.
- City Council Update – Bridge Collapse, recovery
has been completed and now they can start to remove the debris. A set of principles was passed by the
city council that defined the bridge should be functional for 20 years and
have a life span of 100 years. LRT
right of way was part of the principles and the county commissioners agree
so does Governor. Sept 20th
@ 5:00 pm at Thrivent Building Public hearing. Community Engagement Task force has been
meeting on a weekly basis. The only
complaints about Café Maude are that they are not open enough during the
day.
