Debbie Evans and Jeff Strand - NRP Policy Board – State, County, City, parks, Library and neighborhoods.  Future Funding???  Started working June 2005 and looking into funding possibilities.  Options - letting neighborhoods take over, extending the TIF districts.  B/c TIF was implemented and the tax burden was shifted over to the residential area it created a shortage.  This may create a shortfall in the ballpark of 6.1 mil.  Not about funding it is about politics.  Short term issue – PH2 funding letter from Bob Miller.  Neighborhoods need to secure mid-term and long term funding.  Call Councilmember Hodges.  Community Engagement – city is dealing with it and did a report.  First area to deal with is the composition of the committee, she will keep us informed on the other areas.  Karen Clark introduced a Bill House file 822 – to fund a study of NRP.  City Council voted 10-3 to against the opportunity to address the funding issue.  See who the supporters if NRP are.  All documents regarding what has been happening can be accessed at www.nrp.org.  Call Councilmember Hodges.

Penn Avenue Traffic Calming Options – A letter from public works is included outlining options that the city pays for and options that ANA would have to pay for.  Go to public hearing on May 24th.  Preconstruction at Richfield Lutheran Church on May 24th at 7:30.  Motion passed for city to move ahead with all the city is willing to pay for.
