Armatage Crime Update
Teenager pleads guilty to 11 counts of armed robbery in Minneapolis, Edina

The Health Department is conducting “Air Quality in Minneapolis: A Neighborhood Approach” study and is looking for volunteers to help with the air quality study. It is a two-year, citywide study of Volatile Organic Compounds (VOC) in Minneapolis neighborhoods. Eight air samples will be collected. Each sample is collected for three days. The fifth air sample collection is coming up in February.
Armatage is In zone 31 where we need two volunteers.
Minneapolis Solid Waste customers will have an organics recycling option starting in 2015-2016
Organics recycling is coming for Minneapolis Solid Waste customers. Residents now have a black cart for garbage and a blue one for recycling; organics will be collected in green carts. Any organics from the home can be put in the green cart for pickup on the same day as garbage. Customers must opt in for this service and will be invited to sign up starting in April. But people don’t have to wait; any Minneapolis Solid Waste customer can sign up now.Read more...
Safety Seminar a Sucess
Due to the response by residents for the Neighborhood Association to focus on the safety of the neighborhood, our January Board meeting was dedicated to the topic of personal and home safety. Minneapolis Police Inspector, Todd Loining and Minneapolis Crime Prevention Specialist, Jennifer Waisanen talked to residents giving them personal and home safety tips. This meeting, along with the Safety Newsletter that was delivered to all residents, are two ways your Neighborhood Board is working to keep the neighborhood safe.
