Armatage Neighborhood Association

Organization donation requests process

Adopted January 1st 2008

Any person or organization wishing to ask the ANA for a financial contribution must submit their request in writing or via email to the board president, secretary or NRP coordinator by the second Tuesday of the month.

If the request is submitted by this time, the request will placed on the next meeting's agenda. The meeting will occur a week after, on the third Tuesday of the month.

Either the person submitting the request or a representative from the organization submitting the request must appear at the meeting and orally present their request to the board.

After the presentation and board discussion, the board will vote on the request.

If the request is not submitted by the second Tuesday of the month, or an individual or organization appears at the next board meeting to present their request, the board will place the request on the next month's agenda, and will follow the procedure listed above.

The Armatage Neighborhood Association (ANA) is sponsoring a "Slow Down" yard sign campaign. Although the 62 Crosstown Reconstruction is complete, the signs are still a valuable way to keep our streets safe. The ANA safety committee has purchased 750 yard signs that read: "We Live Here! Please Slow Down" for Armatage residents to put in their yards to remind motorists to slow down.

If you would like a yard sign, you can pick one up at the Armatage park building, at any neighborhood meeting or at the Summer Festival on July 19, 2011.

The Armatage Neighborhood Association meets every month on the third Tuesday at 6:30 p.m. to hear and address neighborhood news, projects, and events. The ANA has a number of committees that handle neighborhood business. Examples are a committee that organizes neighborhood festivals, a committee that works with police on safety issues, and a park/school committee that works on needed facility updates.

There are always free refreshments and childcare (please request childcare at least three days before meeting date: 612.929.5915) at the neighborhood meetings. All ANA meetings are held in the Armatage park building at 57th and Russell and all are open to the public. The meeting schedule for 2011 is listed above.
